Scholarly translation poses
unique challenges in terms of form and content, requiring sensitivity to
‘voice’ as well as analytic and linguistic abilities that go well beyond
standard bilingualism. It also demands strong research skills and conformity
to style guidelines. I
have a PhD in Philosophy and have translated over 25 published scholarly
articles and 2 published monographs (see full list in CV below), mainly in the fields of philosophy
and the humanities. I have also translated numerous scholarly articles for
private use and papers for conference presentations in the humanities and social sciences field.
